Pearl, who had an innate desire for shopping, was trying to convince Spongebob that she deserved extra bucks from her father. "You have no idea, Spongebob! All those cool outfits at The Bikini Bottom Mall are calling me." Pearl complained. Unfortunately, Spongebob was at odds with Pearl's consumerist attitude, thinking she should show more appreciation for her father's hard work. Earlier that day, while roaming through old treasures in her bedroom, Pearl had found a magical ancient scroll. It contained a spell that could change one's physical form. Driven by frustration and her inability to make Spongebob understand, she blurted out, "You know what, I wish you could be like me, Spongebob!" As soon as her words echoed in the room, a bright light flashed, and Spongebob began changing shape. His square pants reshaped into a short pink skirt, his thin arms plumped up, and his voice rose in pitch. In an instant, standing there was an exact copy of Pearl, even down to her voice. "Wait, what's happening?" Spongebob uttered, his voice now identical to Pearl's high-pitched, teenage girl squeal. Pearl, surprised and amused, decided to take it a step further. "I wish you only ever remembered being me", she said with a smirk. After a brief moment of dizziness, Spongebob blinked his eyes, now fully convinced that he had always been Pearl, Mr. Krabs' beloved daughter. The two Pearls now stood side by side with matching outfits and matching attitudes. As bewildered customers watched, jaws dropping, they made their way towards Mr. Krabs' office, both determined to argue for an increased allowance. "Ready to fight, Pearl?" asked Spongebob— or perhaps now Pearl— with a confident smile. The genuine Pearl returned the grin and nodded, "You bet, Pearl!", and so began a relentless quest of double the teenage persuasion seeking more money for The Bikini Bottom mall splurge!
