However Baby is soon revealed to be just like her twisted “father” William. She is manipulative and cunning as she masterminded almost all the events in Sister Location and even acts theatrical as she says one of her tactics to play pretend and act in a certain way to get what she wants and to manipulate people. She was also shown to be very abusive towards her only friends as it’s implied she either manipulated or outright forced the other animatronics to take part in her diabolical plan to fuse their parts to become the animatronic amalgamation and hive mind mind known as Ennard, to escape the facility. Even after accomplishing her goals she was still shown to be a control freak, and while being part of Ennard she seemingly forced the other animatronics within the amalgamation to abide under her leadership. This subsequently led them to betray and eject her from Ennard. It's implied that the reason for Baby’s twisted and controlling behavior is because of the time she spent in the underground facility; as being isolated and tortured may have drove Baby beyond the point of insanity and caused her to be emotionally and mentally unstable, although it is hinted she only fully shows this side of herself and raises her voice whenever pushed over the edge. A reality change was clearly becoming necessary. Suddenly, the air around Lucifer shimmered with an ethereal glow. A tingling sensation began to creep up his legs and spread until it encompassed his whole being. He began to change form, his body contorting and his height increasing to a staggering 7.2 feet - the world around him flashing and contorting into the dark and grimy confines of the Sister Location. In utter bewilderment, he looked down at himself, feeling much heavier. His once lithe figure was now robust and bulky. Looking at his reflection in a dingy metal surface, his formerly striking and intimidating face was now painted with cumbersome layers of clown-like makeup. His skin had taken on a metallic sheen, and he - of all other transformations shockingly - was now a she. She couldn't shake off the strangeness; it felt unnatural and yet familiar at the same time. In her head, the thoughts and memories of Lucifer began to blur and scatter, only to be replaced by the personas of Circus Baby. Despite every attempt resisting the mental onslaught, her old personality was swept away, replaced by the antics and tragedies that made up the animatronic. "Damn! I look like a tin circus doll!" Lucifer had managed a chuckle, the surprise of the transformation still looming over. But, when he - now she - spoke again, her voice wasn't the same. It was delicate, with a childish tone, "Hello! You don't recognize me, do you?" The change was unyielding; she wasn't Lucifer anymore, but Circus Baby. Memories of life at the Hazbin Hotel became fragmented, disappearing like fine grains of sand slipping through fingers. In their place were memories of kids, happy smiles, birthday cakes, and a never-ending cycle of pretend play. In this new world, descending deeper into the consciousness of Elizabeth Afton, daughter of William Afton, she had a realization. The image of Lucifer, with his high-collared attire, regal hat, and daunting cane, was nothing but a distant, faded dream. She was Circus Baby – a tragic entertain for children's delight and a prisoner of her robotic body. She finally accepted her new existence, "I don't remember my old life. I am Circus Baby, and I was always meant to perform. That's all."
