Three different types of meal plans: The all access which is unlimited swipes, 35 plus swipes, 10 guest meals, and $50 flex. The block plans which go from 100 swipes to 200 swipes a semester and $200 flex dollars for the 100 swipes and $50 for every other amount. They also allow for 35 swipes to be used as plus swipes. They range from $1,883 to $2,834. They also offer an off-campus meal plan that is either 35 or 50 swipes and 25 of those swipes can be plus swipes. There are $560 and $790 respectfully. Plus swipes are combo deals at different locations such as the Chick Fil A on campus and other non-dining hall options. First years are prohibited from having cars. All other students can enter a lottery for a parking spot, but you are not guaranteed or even likely to get one. There is about 400 parking spots for grade in the main parking lot and small varying amounts of parking passes for other parking lots around campus. About 20% of students at UNC are in a fraternity or sorority Some fraternities and sororities have on campus housing while some others are close to campus but not on campus Clubs at UNC that interest me include AI consulting which is about utilizing AI in the business world, Behavioral Economics Club, Business Improv, and Business Page Turners All the clubs, activities, and organizations are listed on the Heel Life website Sports at UNC are taken very seriously, mainly basketball that has won six national championships UNC’s best sport is surprisingly women’s soccer which has won 23 of 43 NCAA Championships Students get free tickets to all sports events besides men’s basketball and football. For these two sports students can enter a lottery. Rameses is the UNC mascot, a ram with yellow horns Franklin Street is the main hangout spot for UNC students. It runs right along the edge of campus and has lots of UNC themed restaurants, stores, and bars. One is called Time Out which is a reference to Michigan trying to call a timeout when they had none remaining in the Men’s basketball National Championship. There is an airport in Durham which is 20 miles away. There are malls in Durham aswell. Durham/Raliegh is about 20 minutes from UNC and are large cities which are known for their art museums
