Last weekend, my friends and I went on a trip that was honestly pretty cool. We decided to go camping near Lakeview Park. We packed our tents, sleeping bags, snacks, and a bunch of soda for the two days. When we got there, the weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, which was great because I hate bugs. We started by setting up our tents, but it took way longer than we expected because none of us had done it before. After finally figuring it out, we ate chips and sandwiches, and then went for a little hike. The trail wasn’t super tough but we saw some squirrels and a couple chipmunks that were really cute. At night, we built a campfire (after failing three times), made s’mores, and told ghost stories. I think my friend Sarah almost believed one of them! Later, we tried to sleep, but it was kind of hard with everyone laughing, and someone kept snoring loudly. In the morning, we had cereal and juice before packing up. We were all tired but happy. On the ride home, we played music and everyone said it was the best weekend trip ever, even if we were a mess.
