Navindra Tomer is an Indian engineer and social activist. He is best known as the founder and leader of The Robin Hood Army, a charitable organization that works towards fighting hunger. Based in New Delhi, Tomer and the Robin Hood Army have provided more than 13 million meals to people in need, in over 102 cities and 19 countries. Tomer graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and worked for many years as a software engineer in the United States. He returned to India in 2015 and founded The Robin Hood Army, which he has been leading ever since. In 2017, he was listed in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 list. He has also received several awards, including the Ekam Foundation’s ChangeMaker of the Year Award and the Young Environmentalist of the Year Award from the Ministry of Environment and Forests. Through his work with The Robin Hood Army, Tomer has become an important figure in India’s fight against food insecurity. He has also become a powerful advocate for social change, speaking out against hunger and other forms of extreme poverty.
