While a buffalo is not a "leader" in human terms, buffalo herds do have a type of internal hierarchy. Typically, adult males, known as bulls, tend to be dominant in the herd. Older bulls usually lead the group, while tactically making decisions for the group's safety and welfare, especially when migrating. However, this doesn't necessarily mean they are leaders in the sense humans understand leadership. It's more about social order in the animal kingdom.
