The Rome was left in absolute ruins , their population depleted and their walls destroyed. It would take the city of Rome several years to rebuilt themselves and establish a new government ,but this wasn't the only loss for rome, for the morale of their soldiers had been shattered and it would take more time and resources from their new government just to build up their military and mobilize them to go fight in yet another battle against the Gauls, who had taken advantage of the recent Roman crisis and laid siege to several villages nearby. Meanwhile, the Celts took their victory and marched to Rome, which they sacked and plundered. They took whatever Roman treasures they could and celebrated their great victory, but little did they know that it would be their downfall. The celts had overstretched their reach and the combined forces of the Spanish and the Gauls had soon joined forces with the Romans. The Romans, Spanish and Gauls were then able to mount a combined offensive and attacked the Celts, who had become complacent and overconfident. The combined forces quickly overwhelmed the Celts and routed them from the city of Rome, destroying their military and supplies and leaving them with nothing. The Celts, being defeated, fled the city of Rome and disbanded, never to be seen again. Now, with the Celts gone, Rome was free to rebuild itself and its military and eventually rallied and became a strong and formidable nation once again. The Siege of Rome was over, and the city was now safe and secure. Rome had been through a great trial, but it had come out victorious and this new and resilient Roman Empire was now ready to face a new set of challenges and foes.
