Recipes #1: Firecrackers

The Simplest, Delicious, Surprisingly Powerful Edible

Firecrackers are some of the simplest and fastest marijuana edibles to make. Simply put some peanut butter, Nutella, or your favorite nutty spread on some crackers, sandwich some weed between two of those, bake it, eat it, and feel the high.

Edibles are a great way to consume marijuana medicinally or recreationally (always legally of course)! You don't have to inhale smoke which can be pretty nasty for you lungs and even vapor can irritate sensitive lungs. Edibles give a powerful "body high", where as vaping marijuana gives more of a "head/mind high"; smoking pot gives a high that is a bit of both, but mainly a head high and one that is less clean or clear than the high from vaping. Baking your weed (with oily food) allows more THC and other cannabanoids to be absorbed into your blood stream than when smoking, and often a different combination than what you get from vaping.

Marijuana Edibles do take more preparation than other methods and they do take an hour or two to kick in, but if you have a few hours to spare, make some great firecrackers with this recipe! All you need is about half an hour to bake them, a few minutes to eat them, an hour for them to kick in, and the rest of your day to enjoy the high.

Previous Step Next Step

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat your over to 325°F.
  2. Gather all of your ingredients.
  3. Spread a thick layer of peanut butter onto 4 of the graham cracker squares and a thick layer of Nutella on the remaining graham crackers. (Instead of peanut butter or Nutella, use any oily spread that does not have hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils in it. You want something that is high in saturated fat. One of my favorites is cookie butter.
  4. Evenly sprinkle your marijuana on 4 of the graham crakcers.
  5. To prepare your trees:
  6. Put the other 4 graham cracker squares on top to sandwich your marijuana in between. Make sure all marijuana is covered.
  7. Wrap each firecracker in aluminum foil. To prevent odor from baking, make sure to wrap each one tightly. If done correctly there is very minimal smell.
  8. Put the wrapped firecrackers onto a baking sheet and into the preheated oven.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes at 325°F.
  10. Eat them or put them in the freezer to save for later!
  11. Wait an hour or two after you consume your firecrackers and enjoy the high!
